Rent Affordability Tools is a small MicroToolForge site built around practical apartment math: rent from income, 30 percent rule checks, 40x rent rule estimates, roommate splits, move-in cash, and rent-vs-income lookup tables.
The calculators use user-entered numbers and simple formulas. They are meant for planning and comparison, not for financial advice, legal advice, lease approval, or housing eligibility decisions.
What makes the tools useful
Most rent searches involve more than one number. A rent target can look fine by gross income but fail after take-home pay, utilities, savings, deposits, and moving costs. This site puts those checks together so the tradeoffs are visible before you apply.
